HOME for the Holidays : Treasured Girlz Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas 2020 is certainly going to be different for many of our families. Travel plans may have changed and we may be experiencing the holiday season in new and unique ways.

2020 has stretched us like that it seems, as we’ve been inside our four walls with those we love the most.

In fact, when putting together this Treasured Girlz Gift Guide, that’s what I had in mind.

The way that HOME has become an even more integral part of life this year.

We’ve spent hundreds upon hundreds more hours there and so have our girls.

So this list of fun ideas is all categorized with HOME as the central theme.

You’ll find gifts for each room in the house that your sweet girl spends time in!

Perhaps, a few new things will lighten up the mood and bring smiles to her face.

*As a bonus, we’ll share some ideas for friends and family who have encouraged you, later on this week!

PLAYROOM

If there has ever been a year when we’ve needed activities to bust boredom, it’s been 2020! That’s why a playroom (or dining room table) may be the perfect spot to bring in some creative new ways to spend free time!

You may have enjoyed charm bracelets as a tween and your daughter will enjoy creating her own too!

___

If your girl has some extra time on her hands, making this no-sew quilt is sure to keep her busy!

___

Here’s another blast from the past, that is perfect for all ages. I mean who doesn’t love the satisfying end result of scratch art?

___

This String Art Kit has 3 canvases and will be sure to keep your girl busy. She may even gift you a piece of art to hang in your home office!

___

This twist on painting by number is all the rage. It’s perfect for all ages and would be a great activity for snowy days or when traveling! Besides, who doesn’t love stickers?

___

If your girl loves jewelry and crafting, making her own jewelry bowl will be so much fun!

___

Here’s another great DIY for your jewelry lover! Once she creates this adorable yarn tree, she’ll have the perfect place to display her necklaces and bracelets!

___

What girl doesn’t love a wide assortment of colorful pens to doodle and draw and create with? Here’s a set that will give her plenty of options!

___

This is a great resource for your daughter who is interested in learning how to hand letter! It would go perfect with those Sharpies too!

___

This game has grown with our family for years. It’s so much fun and gives all ages an activity to do together.

___

I’m including this game for the playroom, but it’s truly a backyard activity. Our family has the indoor version and I would HIGHLY encourage opting for the outdoor one instead (unless you like broken frames)! BUT, it is so much fun! This updated edition would be a blast for getting out energy and for getting everyone involved in a bit of friendly competition.

BEDROOM

This year our bedrooms have become classrooms and secret hideaways, places to retreat, and places to hold Zoom calls! Here are a handful of ways to bring some uniqueness and even a little faith back into the space.

If you and your daughter haven’t already experienced the Treasured Journal and/or Study, 2021 is the perfect time to start! The study and journal both cover six topics that all girls struggle with in those preteen years, including identity, body, emotions, friendship, technology, and faith!

___

This book would be a great evening read for your girl! One story a night for an entire month, with so much inspiration!

___

If you’re looking for a fun way to introduce personal journaling to your daughter, this Devotional Doodle Journal will help pique her interest!

___

If your daughter is needing to transition from a child’s Bible, this Artisan NIV one is a fabulous option. It has wide margins for notes and the cover is fun too!

___

These Bible pens and highlighters would be a great stocking stuffer or the perfect accompaniment to a new Bible!

___

She’s not tiny anymore, which is why a fun little art upgrade for your girl’s room may be a unique gift. This macrame piece has a Boho vibe and is perfect for tween bedrooms.

___

Does your daughter have momentos and pictures stashed in corners? This star garland would be a fun way for her to display some of her favorite memories.

___

Perfect for reading books or curling up to relax, this would be a great addition for a tween room!

___

An adorable felt letter board is the perfect place to post verses, encouraging notes and fun quotes for your daughter! This one comes in a variety of colors, so you can even find one to match her bedroom!

___

I remember being about 13 and wanting a swing in my room. Now, it’s finally possible! How lucky are our girls to have this fun option? (You could also mount this outside!)

OFFICE

Before this year, our daughter’s may not have appreciated an office or desk quite as much. But, if they’ve participated in virtual schooling at all, they now know how important this space can be! Help them polish up their desk and learning space this Christmas.

Who knew a mouse pad could be so stylish?

___

This desk caddy can help your girl stay organized, in a cute way, of course!

___

A flip calendar that will speak right to your girl’s heart and can sit on her desk (or by her laptop) for a constant reminder that she is loved by her Heavenly Father!

___

Shelves may seem silly, but my daughter loves the wooden and metal mix and appreciates anything that helps her keep books and knick-knacks organized! Perhaps, your girl may feel the same way too!

___

Here’s another surprising idea, that my 13 year old went crazy over! Plus, if this is on their desk, they can stop asking you where the tape is!

___

Finally, what office space would be complete without a chair? Plus, your girl will appreciate the modern feel this one has!

KITCHEN

My daughter and I love spending time together in the kitchen anyway, but this year has given us way more time to explore new recipes and create not only yummy treats but precious memories as well! Here are a few ideas that might spur some together time for you and your girl too!

These boxes are fantastic for trying new recipes and come with pre-measured ingredients!

___

And here’s one more baking box, but I can’t resist Cake Pops – ever!

___

If cookbooks are more your style, this one is full of great recipes that are both sweet and savory!

___

We love jazzing up lunch and snacks in our house and these cutters work on sandwiches, cookie dough, and even fruit! Your girl will have so much fun creating masterpieces with her food!

___

Wait, did I mention how much my girl loves cake pops?! 😉

___

Your girl will feel like a real chef with a personalized apron all her own!

___

If cake decorating might interest your daughter, this beginner’s set will get her creative juices flowing!

___

I can’t think of a single kid who would not LOVE this so very much! Building with your food? Now that sounds like memory-making to me! Who’s in?

___

It’s like glitter for her food! But with sprinkles this lovely, it will surely be hard to eat them!

FAMILY ROOM

Movies and cuddling have become staples of 2020. That’s why these fun additions to the Family Room will be a treat for your daughter.

If your daughter is like mine,  she loves wearing a hoodie- no matter the temperature. This overside hoodie blanket is sure to be a hit then! She can just slip it over her pajamas for movie night with the family!

___

Speaking of movie night, how about this incredible snack kit that she’ll be able to enjoy for round after round of good old family fun Fridays?

___

This cozy PILLOW COVER will turn that boring old throw pillow she always cuddles up with into a dream! (It’s just the cover though.)

___

If you’ve got a blanket kinda girl, then this one is for her! Velvety and lush, it’s perfect for snuggling up anywhere, especially the couch. (Bonus: TONS of color options, so you can find her favorite!)

___

Because she wants a drink in the family room and you don’t want a mess to clean up! 🙂

___

This one is perfect for hot chocolate by the fire!

BATHROOM

The bathroom might be a practical room in the house, but it can also be a fun and luxurious one for your girl too! Check out these fun finds that will make her smile when bathtime rolls around again.

Nothing says fun like a box of bath bombs!

___

She’ll feel like a grown-up when she slips into this cozy robe, which comes in 9 colors!

___

Every girl needs an adorable brush that’s also super functional and helpful for a common everyday problem- tangled hair!

___

This 3 pack of micro-fiber hair towel wraps is another fun, but practical bathroom accessory for your tween/teen!

___

If your girl has been trying to figure out what to do with her ever-growing collection of scrunchies, this tower is the perfect answer!

___

Or if she’s needing to add to her collection, 50 fun scrunchies should do the trick!

___

For a retro storage spin for all her other personal items, may we suggest a caboodle? (Anyone else have one of these growing up too?)

___

After bath time it seems like the perfect time to cozy up in some matching Mommy and Me Pajamas! Here are two of my favorite options:

The Cooking Baking Crew set is perfect for Christmas time!

But, these unicorn onesies are fun year round!

And there you have it, fun Home for the Holidays inspiration, to surprise your daughter with this year! Check back later this week when we share some gift ideas for your friends and family too!

Do you have any more Bible recommendations? My daughter is 8 and while she’s looking for more than the Jesus Storybook Bible, she’s not quite ready for an adult Bible. Any suggestions?

Sara, my 10 year old daughter really likes the Adventure Bible. It’s a real Bible, but with lots of colorful maps, illustrations, and kid-friendly illustrations. They have a lot of different styles of covers to choose from. https://www.adventurebible.com/products/
